Rows of tea bushes under tall shade trees in an Assam tea garden

You bring the curiosity. We carry the rest.

Planning the Northeast from afar is hard, permits, roads, seasons, who to trust. Here's exactly how we take that weight off you, from the first conversation to the day you come home.

Six steps, and the hard parts are ours.

The process

No black box, no pressure. You see each stage, and you approve everything before it's confirmed.

1

Tell us what you're after

Day 1 · a conversation

Share the shape of the trip, pace, interests, dates, comfort level and a rough budget. A real conversation with someone who knows the ground, not a template form. If you're not sure yet, that's fine; that's what we're for.

2

We design it, with hosts

Behind the scenes

We co-design your route with consenting local hosts and makers, checking who can genuinely welcome you, what's in season, and which permits apply. Every element is costed transparently, and communities are asked before they're offered.

3

You approve a costed preview

Usually within 2–3 days

You receive a clear day-by-day, honest pricing in your currency, and exactly what is and isn't included. Change the pace, swap a stay, add a day, adjust freely until it's right. Nothing is booked until you say so.

4

Reserve with a deposit, permits handled

You're in control

Reserve with a deposit, never a full prepayment to a stranger. We lock your dates, rooms and transport, and our permits desk arranges any Inner Line or Protected Area Permit and confirms your position in writing.

5

You travel, well held

On the ground

A local lead, a considered pace, a Route Safety File for your route and a 24×7 duty line for your dates. Vetted drivers, no night driving on mountain roads, a buffer day built into the hills. You arrive, and the Northeast does the rest.

6

We close the loop

After you're home

A short reflection, a verified review, and an impact record for the communities you visited, what reached them, in numbers. Responsibility measured, not vaguely claimed. It's how we keep earning the trust of the region.

What "well held" actually means.

On every journey

The same standards hold whether you join a set departure or design a private trip they're not upsells.

Inner Line and Protected Area Permits arranged and confirmed in writing before you travel.

Nearest hospital, evacuation route, network dead zones and landslide-prone stretches, mapped for your route.

A real person on call for the length of your trip, not a chatbot, not a queue.

Named, consenting hosts and makers, paid fairly and credited for the knowledge they hold.

USD and INR shown openly, all-inclusive quotes, deposit not prepayment, clear cancellation terms.

What your trip returned to the communities you visited, measured, and shared with you.

Five principles we don't bend.

What guides every decision

They shape who we work with, how we price, and what we'll politely decline to do.

01

Respectful Access

Communities decide what can be shared. Culture is never treated as a spectacle.

02

Local Authority

Hosts, guides and makers are primary partners in designing every journey.

03

Slow by Design

Fewer places, longer stays, less rushing. The pace is the point.

04

Comfort with Context

Dependable transport, stays, hygiene and safety, without losing authenticity.

05

Observable Responsibility

Impact and local benefit are measured, not vaguely claimed.

No black boxes, and no discounting.

How pricing works

We protect price by adding value and certainty, not by cutting corners or racing competitors to the bottom.

  • Shown up front

Every journey carries a from-price in USD and INR before you ever write to us.

  • All-inclusive quotes

Accommodation, internal transport, permits, a naturalist or cultural lead where relevant, and most meals.

  • Deposit, not prepayment

Reserve with a deposit and pay the balance on a clear schedule before travel.

  • Fair to the ground

Hosts and makers are paid fairly and transparently, a share you can see in the quote.

The practical questions
How long does planning take?
A first costed preview usually reaches you within two to three working days. Custom or multi-state journeys can take a little longer while we confirm hosts and permits. Start four to eight weeks ahead where you can, longer for peak dates like the Hornbill Festival.
Do I pay the full amount up front?
No. You reserve with a deposit and pay the balance on a clear schedule before travel, never a full prepayment. We quote in your currency and give you a named person to reach at every stage.
Can I change things after booking?
Within reason, yes. Small adjustments are usually fine; larger changes may affect price or availability, and we'll always tell you honestly before anything is confirmed. Cancellation and change terms are shared in writing up front.
Who handles the permits?
We do. Our permits desk arranges any Inner Line Permit or Protected Area Permit for the states that require them and confirms your position in writing before you travel, whatever your nationality.

Start with a conversation, not a commitment.

Ready when you are

Tell us the kind of days you're after and we'll take it from there, a costed preview, honest advice, and no pressure to book.
